Volunteer at Mission Garden

April 20 @ 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM

As the holidays and the end of the semester approaches, join us for a volunteer event at Mission Garden on Saturday April 20th from 8am to 10am. Mission Garden is the birth place of Tucson and their mission is to preserve the agricultural history for us to learn and take part in as a community. Once we arrive, we’ll be working on gardening tasks such as preparing soil, planting seeds, harvesting produce, watering plants, and/or preparing for future events at Mission Garden. This a great way to get involved with the community and experience something new. No prior gardening skills or experience is required! Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and close-toed shows. Bringing a water bottle and hat or sunscreen is also very important since we will be outside. Carpooling can be arranged as needed and the address is 946 W Mission Ln, Tucson, AZ 85745. Please email Allison (allisoneby@email.arizona.edu) with any questions or concerns. Hope to see you all there!

The inspiration for the Mission Garden and one of its primary drivers is UBRP alum, Jesus Garcia!
