Any student whose mentor agrees is welcome to present at the UBRP Conference. Over the years, students from local high schools, and students from other colleges who have worked with UA scientists have presented, along with UBRP students. Keynote speakers have included scientists from UA and elsewhere, UBRP alumni, and UA administrators. Since 1999 the UBRP Conference proceedings, along with photos from the event, have been posted to the web.
All UBRP students are expected to share their experimental results at the Conference which is open to the public. Students are encouraged to invite the members of their research groups, family and friends, and their legislators. The Conference is free and open to all. Frequently local high school students and undergraduates interested in research experiences come. Many students subsequently present their work at off campus scientific conferences such as the annual meetings of the Society for Neuroscience, the American Chemical Society, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Biophysical Society Meeting, and others.
