Introducing...

...faculty sponsor, Dr. Magdalene (Maggie) So, PhD, Professor and Head, Program in Microbial Pathogenesis, Department of Immunobiology with an appointment in BIO5.  Dr. So and her lab are interested in understanding the mechanisms that contribute to bacterial pathogenesis. In particular, they focus on the first steps of an infection - host cell attachment and invasion.  Their goal is to contribute to current vaccine and antibiotics development efforts.
