Introducing...

...faculty sponsor, Dr. Scott Sherman, MD, PhD, Associate Professor, Neurology.  Dr. Sherman's research focuses on developing novel therapies for Parkinson's disease. The Sherman lab is exploring the possibility of using genetic alteration of voltage-gated potassium channels to modify specific pathways in the basal ganglia. A second project seeks to develop a cell-based therapy using retinal pigment epithelial cells for their neuroprotective effects.
