...faculty sponsor, Dr. Kevin Bonine, Adjunct
Associate Professor, Ecology & Evolutionary Biology & School
of Natural Resources. Dr. Bonine's research interests
include: evolutionary physiology, physiological ecology,
herpetology, and conservation biology Four current projects:
(1) phylogeography of canyon treefrogs; (2) disease ecology
of canyon treefrogs, with specific emphasis on Bd (a detrimental
chytrid fungus); (3) ecology of gila monsters in the Tucson
area; and (4) otoacoustic emissions from lizard ears; form
and function of the vertebrate ear. Other interesting research
is always in the works. Dr. Bonine was a UBRPer in
Dr. Tom Swetnam's lab, Dendochronology/Tree Ring
Lab in 1993
