After what felt like the most grueling semester of
my life, I was dismayed to discover that the UBRP orientation
was going to be a two-day, 16-hour marathon beginning
at 8:00 in the morning. Happily, I can report that the
experience was well worth it. It provided an introduction
not only to the UBRP program, but also to my fellow UBRPers.
By the end, I had decided that:
* I should take a calculus-based biology-modeling course
* I should drink lots of water
* I do but don't want to go to Peru
* It's not a "hood," it's a "cabinet"
* The university's lobbyist is a great resource for policy
questions
* I should put a CD, a UBRP handbook, and some little
plastic things into three less obvious categories
* My UBRP cohort is awesome!
