"I was recently awarded the 2009 Anne Ninham Medicine Mentorship Award for serving the Native American community at Stanford University," writes Nanibaa Garrison '03. As a UBRPer, Nanibaa worked in Dr. Robert Erickson's lab and Dr. Murray Brilliant's lab, Pediatrics.  She is "working on a paper for publication and dissertation."  Nanibaa hopes to receive her PhD (genetics) in June.    E-mail: nanibaa@stanford.edu

Deanna Adams '94, has accepted "a senior scientist position with Albany Molecular Research in Bothell, Washington." Deanna worked with several UBRP faculty sponsors including Dr. Marilyn Halonen, Arizona Respiratory Center.  E-mail: dadams30@gmail.com

"I am an assistant professor at Berkeley," reports Damian Elias '98.  "I am in the midst of setting up my laboratory!"  The lab will "be looking at arthropod communication, from mechanics and physiology to species evolution."  He was a UBRPer with Dr. Elizabeth Bernays and Dr. Spence Behmer, Entomology.
