"I got my MPH with a concentration in global health in 2003 from Yale, and I have just started a PhD program at Emory focusing on epidemiology and nutrition," writes Lisa Levy Staimez '99. Patricia Nez Henderson '90, UBRPer with Dr. Philip Scuderi, Biochemistry, recently visited the UA to present at the Stoklos Visiting Professor Lecture Series. For the past eight years, Patricia has collaborated with tribal communities all over the country in implementing comprehensive tobacco control and prevention programs.  Projects have included development of culturally tailored cessation programs, development of web-based prevention programs for Native youth, and mobilizing the Navajo Nation towards a commercial tobacco-free legislation.  She is an assistant professor, Native Elder Research Center, University of Colorado and vice president, Black Hills Center for American Indian Health, Rapid City, South Dakota.  E-mail: pnhenderson@bhcaih.org
