Introducing...

...faculty sponsor, Dr. Betsy Dokken, Assistant Professor, Medicine.  Research in the Dokken lab is focused on decreasing the burden of heart disease in diabetes.  Dr. Dokken is currently working on a treatment that appears to attenuate damage to the heart after a heart attack or sudden cardiac arrest in diabetic animals. She has been appointed to a three-year term as associate editor for Diabetes Spectrum, a journal for health-care professionals published by the American Diabetes Association
