Interested in doing research in neurobiology
and behavior? Carolina Reisenman and Jeff Riffell are looking for highly
motivated undergraduate students for conducting research
in the neural basis of oviposition behavior in sphinx
moths. Students will work in the framework of a recently
awarded NSF grant at the ARLD Neurobiology using behavioral,
neurophysiological, and chemical ecology techniques. If
you are interested, please contact Carolina Reisenman
(Carolina@neurobio.arizona.edu) and/or Jeff Riffell (jeffr@neurobio.arizona.edu).
UBRP End of Summer Picnic: Get
your short-shorts and headband out of the attic; it's
time for some fierce volleyball competition! As
part of the UBRP end of summer picnic on Friday,
AUGUST 1, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm (across from Life Sciences South),
we will be sponsoring a single-elimination tournament
for all attendees. Team
up with your UBRP buddies to take on your lab. Show
your PI who is boss on the sand. Fabulous prizes
and bragging rights will be given to the winning team. Interested
parties of six should respond to this email with a roster
and team name to Troy Comi, troyc@email.arizona.edu. Not
into volleyball? That is okay, come for the cakewalk,
or the eegees! But come - we want to see you there!
