Undergraduate Student Worker needed for Spring 2008: Dr. Brian Enquist, Ecology & Evolutionary Biology is looking for an undergraduate to perform data entry and processing, to process leaf and soil samples for mass-spectrometry analysis, to press and mount herbarium specimens, and various other lab technician duties. No experience necessary, all training provided. Gain experience using sophisticated plant and soil biochemical analysis equipment. The ideal candidate will be energetic and have attention for details. Work-study; non-work study; research credit; all welcome. 15-20 hrs/wk. Possibly continuing work during Summer 2008. Wanted Biological Science Technician: The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agriculture Research Service (ARS), Plant Physiology and Genetics Research, Maricopa, AZ, has an opening for a term position not to exceed 2 years (appointment may be extended up to a total of 4 years without further competition), full-time Biological Science Technician (Plants). The incumbent will join a dynamic, highly motivated research group that is focused on the production of industrially important oils in plant seeds. Must be a U.S. citizen. Watson School of Biological Sciences at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, Cold Spring Harbor, New York offers a one-of-a-kind PhD program. The National Research Council of the National Academies sponsors a number of awards for postdoctoral and senior researchers at federal laboratories.
