Introducing...
...faculty sponsor, Dr. Natarajan Raghunand,
Director, Translational Cancer Imaging and Research Associate
Professor,
Department
of Radiology. Dr. Raghunand's research revolves
around Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Active NIH-funded
research projects
in his lab are: (1) Development of a redox-sensitive MRI
contrast agent for non-invasive prediction of tumor response
to radiotherapy (single-PI, pre-clinical research); (2) Non-invasive
measurement of renal function by MRI (dual-PI, collaboration
with Heddwen Brooks, pre-clinical research); (3) Development
and validation of BOLD MRI, DCE-MRI and DW-MRI markers of
cancer response (multi-PI, 3 ongoing clinical trials).
