Undergraduate Research Assistant: Our research group is seeking an undergraduate student to participate in the research group studying the molecular mechanisms of tumor angiogenesis and cancer progression. The selected candidate will be part of a team involved in research in the area of regulation of cadherins and catenins using molecular/cellular biology approaches. We will provide training in molecular biology techniques, which include plasmid preparation, and RT/PCR. The position is available immediately and the hours are can be variable depending on the candidate's schedule. Contact Ron Heimark 626-1913 or rheimark@u.arizona.edu. Duties and Responsibilities: maintain cell lines in cell culture, purify plasmids, and perform molecular biology assays such as RT/PCR, DNA quantitation, gel electrophoresis, Western blotting, and preparation of solutions and bacterial plates.
