Undergraduates: Dr.

Leonard Rieser Fellowship in Science, Technology,
and Global Security is now accepting
applications for the 2006-2007 academic year. The Rieser
Fellowship is intended
to help students pursue projects that explore emerging
or critical issues at the intersection of science,
global security and public policy. It is an excellent
opportunity for a student to conduct a special research
project or participate in an overseas conference. Applications

The Jackson Laboratory, Bar Harbor, Maine conducts
a Summer Student Program for high school and college
students. This program provides an opportunity to conduct
independent research under the guidance of staff scientists.

Research Institute, has initiated an interdisciplinary,
inter-institutional degree program in Functional Genomics,
supported by an interactive faculty from the three

Postdoctoral Study: The Jackson Laboratory has established
a coordinated training program for postdoctoral fellows,

The University of Nevada, Reno has
an outstanding Graduate
Program in Biochemistry with particular
emphasis on biomedical, insect and plant biochemistry
and molecular
biology. The Program supports new students during their
first academic year to allow them to take rotations
in different laboratories and thereby identify a project
they would like to continue for their MS or PhD research
degrees. Their research advisor then provides subsequent
