Peter Carbone '00 has "been doing a lot of first assist orthopedic cases on soldiers coming back from Iraq – an amazing experience. These guys are very young and the air evac system gets them back within 48 hours of their injuries to Walter Reed and National Naval Medical Center." Peter is a medical student at Uniformed Services University. He was a UBRPer in Dr. Robert Erickson's lab, Molecular & Cellular Biology and Dr. Marianne Broome-Powell's lab, Arizona Cancer Center. "After four years in Oregon, I am officially a little Vitamin D deficient and missing the Arizona sunshine," writes Dominic Titone '02. "Third and fourth year have been amazing and reminds me of why I wanted to become a physician in the first place. As for residency, I will be applying for a Meds-Peds program. It is a combined residency for internal medicine and pediatrics." Anyone interested in going to medical school at OHSU or anywhere can contact Dominic at: titoned@ohsu.edu for “some pointers and encouragement.” Dominic was a UBRPer in Dr. David Harris's lab, Microbiology & Immunology.
