Chris Dulla ‘00 has finished his “PhD at the University of Colorado and just started a post-doc in the Department of Neurology at Stanford.” He is “really excited about getting tentative acceptance from Neuron for a manuscript based on the bulk of my thesis project.” Chris was a UBRPer in Dr. Gordon’s lab, Cell Biology & Anatomy and Molecular & Cellular Biology. UBRP alum, Brian Van Tine ‘95 now an MD/PhD is “a Hematology/Oncology resident at Barnes and Jewish, the hospital of Washington University in St. Louis.” Brian was a UBRPer in Dr. Victor Hruby’s lab, Chemistry. E-mail: vantine@uab.edu

“ I have finally made it to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo,” writes Nikki Jarrett ’02. Nikki was in Kinshasa for “five weeks to oversee data cleanup for my Master’s paper and to continue my work as a research assistant for Dr. Annelies Van Rie and Dr. Frieda Behets of UNC-Chapel Hill.” She expects “to finish her MSPH (Epidiemiology) in December and continue on to the doctoral portion of the program.” Nikki was UBRPer in Dr Tom Baldwin’s lab, Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics.
