Summer Student Program at The Jackson Laboratory, Bar Harbor, Maine Some salient facts: 1). The program funds internships for 35 high school and undergraduate students in a variety of research areas, such as diabetes and obesity, biological databases and statistical genetics. 2). For 2005, each student received room & board plus a stipend of $2,500. 3). Dormitory housing (2-4 students per room) is provided at Highseas, a historic 32-room former summer estate, overlooking Frenchman Bay and immediately adjacent to Acadia National Park. Center for Physical Activity and Nutrition (CPAN), University of Arizona.
If you are looking for a lab for the upcoming year that works on more “field-based” projects than “bench work” research, please contact Rob Blew, Research Specialist, Sr. at 626-3067, e-mail: rblew@email.arizona.edu. There will be a variety of smaller studies that will be happening in the early months of the semester (i.e. August-October) and then one larger one November thru May that we will need help with. Our main project involves doing potentially uncomfortable measurements on adolescent girls, so ideally a female student is preferred.
