Leah Baker ’97 has returned from the Peace Corp (Bolivia) and is a bilingual social worker for Southwest Human Development, a Phoenix-based non-profit organization. She is “enjoying my work. It is a good challenge to my Spanish skills and I write quite a bit, which is great preparation for next year.” She is planning on graduate school at U Michigan. We hear that Paul Johnson, ’00 is now an MD. He graduated from Mayo Medical School and plans to stay at Mayo for his medicine internship and radiology residency. Paul was a UBRPer in Dr. Judith Ulreich’s lab, Surgery. E-mail: Johnson.Paul28@mayo.edu

Charlie Shanahan ‘04 is applying to PhD programs in organic chemistry. In the meantime, he is continuing his research with Dr. Dominic McGrath, Chemistry. Dr. McGrath was also his faculty sponsor while he was a UBRPer.
