“Medical school is going well (although
lots of late nights) at UCSF,” reports David
Caretto ‘04. “I
am amazed at how much being in Dr. Ulreich’s lab
for three years has prepared me for medical school. The

was a UBRPer in Dr. Judith Ulreich’s
lab, Surgery and Transplantation. Email: dcaretto@itsa.ucsf.edu
James Callegary ‘96 will

have been working with the USGS to help understand the
hydrology of the San Pedro river basin. I am using the
techniques of geophysics, more specifically electromagnetics,
to study recharge in the ephemeral stream channels that
are tributary to the river.” Email: callegaj@email.arizona.edu
Mark Fernandez ‘03 is on his “internal medicine

John Szivek’s Orthopedic Research lab.” Email:
