……faculty sponsor, Dr. Scott Boitano, Associate
Professor, Department of Physiology. The Boitano lab uses molecular,
cellular, biochemical and bioinformatics techniques to study
lung epithelial cells. They are interested in how these cells
use intercellular communication to form a functional epithelium
and how individual cells and coordinated tissue respond to
environmental and bacterial toxins to maintain a healthy epithelium.
