“I wanted to let you know that I am back from the Peace Corps (Honduras) and about to begin a PhD program in Ecology at the University of California at Davis,” reports Clare Ellsworth Aslan ‘00. Clare was a UBRPer in Dr. Irene Pepperberg’s lab and Dr. Robert Robichaux’s lab, Ecology & Evolutionary Biology.

Sarah McBeth ‘03 received an offer for the Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratory Training Fellowship program with the CDC. Sarah was a Visiting UBRPer in Dr. Richard Friedman’s lab, Microbiology & Immunology. “My one-year appointment is at the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene. I will rotate through various departments at the lab (virology, bacteriology, parasitology, epidemiology and molecular) and I will conduct several small research projects related to emerging infectious diseases.” Email: mcbethsk@mail.slh.wisc.edu
