Alumni Network Is Up and Running!


As you know, over the past few months we have worked towards establishing a UBRP Alumni Network. The network is now electronic and functional (but we expect to add more features as we go along). That is all there is to it!

Mohab Ibrahim ‘98 received his PhD (May 2004) from the UA in Pharmacology and Toxicology. Mohab was a UBRPer in Dr. Philip Malan’s lab, Anesthesiology and continued in the lab during graduate school. He will begin medical school at the UA in August. “I would be glad to offer any advice or help regarding my experience with UBRP, Master’s, PhD or the process to get into medical school.” Email: mohab@email.arizona.edu

Melissa Erickson ’95 received a M.Sc. in Entomology from the University of California, Davis and is now a postgraduate researcher in the Chemical Ecology & Olfaction Group, Department of Entomology at UC Davis. Her research interest is in the molecular basis of insect olfaction. Melissa was a UBRPer in Dr. James Hagler’s lab, USDA. Email: mlerickson@ucdavis.edu

“I have been accepted to James Cook University in Townsville, Australia. I will be pursuing a Master’s of Applied Science in Marine Biology and Fisheries”, reports Adrian Cardoni ‘99. Adrian was a UBRPer in Dr. John Lundberg’s lab, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Email: azacardoni@aol.com
