…faculty sponsor, Dr. Serrine Lau, Pharmacology & Toxicology. The focus of Dr. Lau’s research involves coupling the metabolic activation of chemicals to their target toxicity. There are three major ongoing areas of research: (1) mechanism of hydroquinone mediated carcinogenicity, (2) prostanoid mediated cytoprotection, and (3) mass spectormetirc approaches to proteomics.
