Opportunities and Choices

The UBRP office has received information and application materials for a variety of research experience programs, grants, scholarships, conferences, jobs, and graduate programs. What follows is a sampling:

USDA Forest Service, Coronado National Forest, Safford Ranger District, Safford, Arizona is looking for Biological Technicians. The field crew will primarily conduct surveys of wildlife for ecosystem enhancement and fuel reduction projects. Surveys will include locating and determining the reproductive status of Mexican Spotted Owls and Northern (Apache) Goshawks, as well as locating and marking Mt. Graham Red Squirrel middens. Some survey work may be conducted on Chiricahua Leopard Frogs, talussnails, and other rare plants and animals. For more information visit http://www.fs.fed.us/people/employ/
