“After medical school at UA, I went to Portland, Oregon for an internship and then an ophthalmology residency,” writes Jane Gilbert MD ’95. Jared Ragland ‘96 is “still plugging along.” He is “beginning my sixth year in the MCB doctoral program at the University of Washington in Seattle.” He has developed an interest in neuroscience, as well as international relations and politics. Two other UBRP alums, Anna Bieging ’01 and Sara Hall Riechers ’03 are also at the University of Washington, Seattle. However they are in the School of Dentistry. Anna is in her second year and Sara in her first. Anna was a UBRPer in Dr. Dominic McGrath’s lab, Chemistry and Sara was a UBRPer in Dr. Christina Kennedy’s lab, Plant Pathology/MCB. Le Hua ’00 is “working as a research technician at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix in the Atkinson Pain Lab investigating neural pathways behind pain sensation using fmri technology and electrophysiology. Le has been accepted to USC School of Medicine and will begin next fall. Le worked in Dr. Wufila Gronenberg’s lab, Neurobiology. E-mail: hua37@hotmail.com
