The University of Arizona supports academic achievement and
recognizes and rewards undergraduate students whose performance merits special
attention. Honors are bestowed as recognition of outstanding academic achievement
and to further encourage sound scholarship.
Three Dean's List categories are awarded every semester based on units completed
for credit and letter grade under the categories of Dean's List with Distinction,
Dean's List, and Honorable Mention. Two Academic Distinction categories are
awarded annually based on units completed for credit and letter grade under the
categories of Highest Academic Distinction and Academic Distinction.
