Introducing...
... faculty sponsor, Dr. Hiroshi Nakato, Assistant Research
Professor, Molecular & Cellular Biology. He received his PhD from Tokyo
Metropolitan University in Biology, Tokyo, Japan. Dr. Nakato's research
interests include function of protoeoglycans and heparan sulfate modifying
enzymes in development.
Dr. Nakato hosted BRAVO! students, Bobby Oakes '97 and Francisco Villa '00, in
his laboratory in the Department of Biology at Tokyo Metropolitan University. He
is now a scientist at the Arizona Cancer Center and eager to sponsor UBRP
students!
