Opportunities and Choices

Applications for the Fulbright Scholarship Program, a competitive program that provides funding for intellectual, professional, and artistic growth while living and working in a foreign country, are due early in the fall semester 2000. Because the application process is very rigorous and because it implies outstanding academic performance and a clear career focus, it is wise for perspective applicants to find out as much as possible about the program and to consider their own competitiveness for the program before applying. Only seniors and graduate students are eligible to apply this fall, but it is not too early for interested freshman, sophomores, and juniors to begin to gather information about the program. You can consult the Honors College website http://www.honors.arizona.edu/schol/fulbright.htm. This website provides a direct link to the Fulbright home page.
