"Presently, I am involved with environmental consulting for soil and water contamination concerns as well as biological issues," writes Homer Hansen. "I am on the council committee that is revising the native plant protection and preservation ordinance for Tucson. I am attempting to ensure that at least a portion of developed lands will maintain some viable Sonoran Desert habitat." Homer continues, "I am also starting the necessary paperwork and licensing for owning my own business. I think this will be the best way to promote the goals that I believe in (such as education and sustainable living) and still be able to earn a living." Homer was a UBRPer in Dr. Steve Buchmann's lab, Ecology & Evolutionary Biology. E-mail: ghourami@.aol.com
