Selectide Corporation, Tucson, Arizona is looking for a student intern for their Discovery Biology Department. The intern will work with an MD/PhD scientist in a medium throughput screening effort to discover new compounds to treat neurological disorders. Selectide is looking for a candidate with a life science degree, or working towards a life science degree or pursuing a health profession (10-20 hours/week during academic year). Contact David Thorpe at 520-544-5842 or e-mail David.Thorpe@hmrag.com

Rohm and Haas, Spring Valley, Pennsylvania is looking for summer interns with training in molecular biology or biochemistry, preferably with insects. Plant molecular biologists will be considered as long as the person is motivated and energetic. This is a good opportunity for UBRP students graduating in May 1999, who can no longer be supported by UBRP, but want a job before beginning med or graduate school in the fall. Several UBRPers and alums have enjoyed a summer doing research at Rohm and Haas. If you are interested, submit your resume to Carol Bender by December 15, and you will be considered for one of these positions.
