Alumni News

After spending time in Phoenix and Vietnam, UBRP alum from Dr. Levine's lab in Neurobiology, Kim Phan, has settled down in Atlanta, Georgia. She received an "Emerging Infectious Disease (EID) Training Fellowship from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention." She is working "in the Retrovirus/HIV Disease Branch on biosafety level 2 and 3, with three projects underway, all HIV related cases." Kim continues, "I'm participating in designing HIV vaccine, which would not be possible without the UBRP program at UA." Kim is excited about her work and would like to share information about the fellowship with others. E-mail: kep5@cdc.gov
