Applying to UBRP and related programs
Thank you for your interest in applying to the UBRP program. In order to ensure that you apply to the correct program, please read the following program descriptions and requirements carefully.
UBRP
To be considered for this program, you must meet the following criteria:
- You must be a University of Arizona Undergaduate Student currently enrolled in classes
- You must be enrolled in a minimum of seven credit hours
- You must be in good academic standing
- You should have an interest in biological research
Interdisciplinary UBRP
To be considered for this program, you must meet the criteria for admitiance into UBRP, additionally:- You must be majoring in one or more of the following:
- Computer Science
- Engineering
- Mathematics
- Physics

Interdisciplinary UBRP-CT / iPlant
To be considered for this program, you must meet the criteria for admitiance into UBRP, additionally:- You must be majoring in one or more of the following:
- Computer Science
- Engineering
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Plant Sciences
- Management Information Systems
- Statistics
NSF/REU (UBRP for Visiting Students)
To be considered for this program, you must meet the following criteria:- You must be a visiting student, not currently enrolled at the University of Arizona.
- You must be in Tucson and available to work for the summer of 2010.
Beckman Scholars Competition
To be considered for this program, you must meet the following criteria:
- University of Arizona sophomore, junior or senior students majoring in one of the biological sciences or chemistry
- American citizens or Permanent Residents of the US
- Able and willing to work full time for 10 weeks in two consecutive summers in a Beckman mentor's lab as well as 10 hours/week during the academic year.
